Pike Street!

So, since Bray starts rehearsals tomorrow, we decided to hit Pike Street on Friday with the whole fam. Of course, we chose the day where it was pouring rain, but at least that way we experienced Seattle in its true colors, right? No, seriously, considering everything it was a lot of fun, and the kids seemed to enjoy the busyness of the market, the flowers, the cookies, all the street musicians, and even getting wet. I have searched high and low for rain boots for Madeline and a rain jacket for Hobbes, but to no avail. You'd think they'd have a huge market for rain gear here-but, I guess they just assume you're equipped if you live here!
Anyhow, our stroller doesn't block wind or rain very well, so we ducked into this little historic shelter on the street to eat our lunch. They had a huge pig in it, that the kids loved, so this is where I took the pics-I didn't want to risk our sickly camera in the rain!

Why is Hobbes hugging the pig?
