Trains, trains, trains...

I know I've mentioned previously that trains are Hobbes' new obsession. My parents gave him a Thomas set for his birthday, and since then, it's been alll trains! Our new deal for actually getting the other half of potty training down (I'll let you figure out which half) is that we WILL go ride a real train. So, every day Hobbes tells me he wants to ride a black train, or a blue train, or a FAST red train...it changes with each morning. So far, no success, but the desire to ride the train is still there, so-it WILLLL HAPPEN!!!!
Anyhow, his favorite thing to do now is to take all his track pieces, and make a new, different-shaped track somewhere around the apartment. He loves to make tunnels and bridges with the furniture, so he moves it all by himself, and then lays on the ground, driving his trains on it. When he decides it's time to move to a new location, he gets his grocery cart, fills it with the track, and drives it to the next place to unload and rebuild. Super cute, so I had to take a picture, especially for my Dad. I know the track blends in with the carpet a bit, but you get the idea.

We've tried EVERYTHING to entice Gus to get the 2nd part of the "training" down. The train idea sounds good--let us know if you have any success!!

I constantly have to pick up Megan's toys around the house so I know how you feel. : )
