Performance Pictures

As I mentioned in my previous 'Bray' post, he has been performing an opera around Seattle. I have yet to see it, but I am going to the big shebang on Friday night in Benaroya Hall in downtown Seattle!! However, one of the Seattle Opera managers took some pictures from their performance last weekend, in the nearby town of Auburn.
As a Young Artist for Seattle Opera, they are required to be a part of the educational outreach program. This is why they take the opera around the neighboring cities, counties, etc, so as to get more performance experience in different and unknown venues, and also to spread opera to inexperienced audiences, and also to target younger crowds. I think this is a great opportunity, and wish we could've had something like this growing up! So many people know so little about opera, and it is truly an amazing art! That being said, the theater these pictures were taken in was very tiny, and so Bray said they had to adjust the staging last minute-providing an interesting but exciting challenge! Because they take this on the road, the costumes and staging are limited, but I still think it looks great! So here are the pictures in the Auburn Avenue theater!
All pictures courtesy of Justina, SO.I find the name of this theater ironic, as the church Bray grew up in is named Auburn Avenue(also the street Bray grew up on!) so it seems only fitting he should perform here!
The Opening Act- the 2 friends, side by side..

Broken-hearted.

Being strangled by the best friend..
Curtain call.
