Since our move to Monroe, I have music-directed several productions at the local community theatre, Strauss Theatre Center. I absolutely love this job, and hope to continue on this path as we move other places. Our latest big-and I mean BIG-production we did was Andrew Lloyd Weber's CATS. Now, I of course knew the song 'Memory' before beginning this venture, but that was about it. I had never seen the show, and wasn't sure how much I would love it. Strauss teamed up with a local ballet company for dancers, the Lousiana Delta Ballet Company, and so the undertaking was enormous. Once again I was working with Jon Baccarini, general manager and his brother, Greg Baccarini, who choreographed/directed the show. From start to finish, it was a fabulous experience, and even though I saw every rehearsal, heard every note hundreds of times, and watched them practice the dances repeatedly, I never got tired of it! I was truly glad to be a part of this opportunity. Here are just a few pics from it:
