Confusing commands.

As most of you know, repetition is a huge part of teaching little kids. We have Hobbes repeat what we say, most often when we are disciplining him, so that we know he understands what is going on. We also have him say "Yes, ma'am," not only because it's polite, but because he is half-Southern!
Today, after having a little disciplinary encounter with me, I said, "So be a sweet boy and share with your sister, ok?"
His reply: "Yes, ma'am, Amen."
Getting a little confused-or just trying to save time, either way, I thought it was pretty funny.

Oh I just laughed and laughed at this fun little note! We had a similar thing happen last year when we were teaching a new catechism question to the girls! The question was "How many god's are there?" Answer: "There is only one God" Lucy's answer: "There is only one God left"
They are a kick!
