Seattle Aquarium!

One advantage to living in a city, is that there are several fun museums and attractions. Unfortunately, most of them charge for ages 2 and up! (they must get this idea from the airlines!) This week, we decided we wanted to see 1 of said attractions, and so we compared prices, and found that the Seattle Aquarium does not charge until age 4. Bingo! So we headed out on a rainy morning, and hit the aquarium at the perfect time! The first thing we saw was a wall of fish with a scuba diver inside. She was feeding them, and telling the people about what they ate, why, etc.!! The kiddos were riveted. They were sooo excited, and Hobbes kept saying, "Let's go find more fish!" We were there for nearly 3 hours, and we did not have a single meltdown! They even ate their entire lunch, which does not usually happen when we are out on an adventure. Altogether it was a wonderful day for all of us-parents included-for who doesn't like to see colorful fish? It's so amazing how many different kinds there are, how unique they all are-we even saw some horned fish. They truly look like they were made by a cartoonist! I recommend the aquarium to anyone traveling to Seattle!!view from the top of the aquarium.
The flash-proof wall of fish.
This is looking up from a tunnel under the building-looks like Finding Nemo, right?

She actually touched the starfish!
Hobbes preferred to look and feel the waves in the water.
The somewhat creepy rubber octopus legs. Madeline wasn't too sure about this...

Scuba head!
Bray and Hobbes' turn...
Madeline!

They really loved the seals!
The jelly fish were in a plastic arch that you walked under...they had colored lights that shone through the fish as they passed by them! Cool.

Outside the aquarium.

Looking up at Seattle.

I love the harbor!!!
